In our Earth to Body approach to skin care, we seek to foster a closer connection between the earth and your body than what you get from a typical skin care product.
We source our ingredients directly from local farmers, producers and businesses.
That means we can offer our customers a high quality product that's made from the freshest ingredients possible, and one that has a negligible environmental footprint.
Shop Savon Du BoisOur wildly popular goat's milk soaps are made from farm-fresh, local goat's milk (never powdered). Our goat's milk is delivered straight from the farm to our shop, so fresh that it's often still warm from milking!
We have had a partnership with the same family farm for 9 years, and their beautiful Nubian goats produce milk that is very high in nourishing fats, making for an exceptionally creamy, healing soap bar.
We use raw honey and propolis straight from our own local hives, in our salves, body butters, lip balm, infused honey, and more. Honey has been used for centuries for healing and rejuvenation, and contains pollen, enzymes, antioxidants and many other beneficial compounds.
Local honey in your daily routine can help relieve symptoms of pollen allergies, and the low environmental impact is just an added bonus!
Several local farms provide us with a wide variety organic herbs, which we offer herbs for purchase at the Tea Bar in our boutique. We also use local herbs to create the herbal infusions for many of our body products, including bath bombs, bath salts, bath teas, sugar scrubs, soaps, and salves.
Calendula infused in Extra Virgin olive oil is used in all our body products, and we also infuse our raw honey with herbs, and sell it in our shop.
Sea buckthorn oil helps reduce the symptoms of various skin issues including acne, dermatitis, dry skin, eczema, skin ulcers and stretch marks.
We source our Sea Buckthorn Oil from The Healing Arc in Teeswater, Ontario, a Canadian company dedicated to providing the highest quality natural products to Ontario businesses. We use this versatile oil in our salves, soaps, body butters, and face serums.
We source our emu oil from a family farm in Prince Edward County, Ontario. Our emu line of skin care products include soaps, salves and body butters.
These are some of our top sellers due to the exceptionally healing nature of this wonderfully moisturizing oil.
Olive oil is a light but deeply moisturizing oil that is very beneficial for the skin. It contains antoxidants like vitamin E, polyphenols, and phytosterols. These can help reduce the effects of aging and sun damage on the skin.
Our olive oil products are made with olive oil from Sarafino in Uxbridge Ontario.
Rather than buying through a distributor or from far afield, Savon Du Bois establishes relationships with local farms and businesses, and we buy directly from them.
These local farms and businesses benefit from this relationship because it allows them to reap more of the profit their goods can earn at market, and many enjoy knowing exactly how and where their product will be used.
These direct relationships allow us to offer our customers a higher quality product, made from fresher ingredients. Our ingredients are delivered directly to our shop within hours of being harvested. Our goat's milk arrives still warm from milking, and the herbs and oils we use are always in fresh supply.
This direct acquisition of ingredients means better traceability; you know exactly where your ingredients were produced, and how they were processed.
